Garin Tzabar
I made Aliyah to Israel in December of 2020 with Garin Tzabar. I arrived at my new home, Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu, and started Perek Klita (Absorption Period) with my Garin. We went on Tiyulim (trips) to destinations all across Israel and had activities and programming. We spent lots of time learning Hebrew as well as preparing for the army both physically with workouts and mentally with discussions and group-building activities.
During Perek Klita I made a weekly newsletter that was sent out to the parents. Throughout the week other members of my Garin and I took pictures to document our activities. At the end of the week someone would write up a summary and I would take that and all the pictures we had taken (the majority of which were taken by me) and format it into a newsletter.
